With Executive Orders flying, now is a good time for LGBTQ Americans to refresh ourselves on the grandaddy of them all that continue to target us.  This is President Eisenhower’s so-called Security Order (1953) Executive Order 10450 that declared “sexual perversion” a national security threat and kicked-off the “Lavender Scare”.  “Any criminal, infamous, dishonest, immoral or notoriously disgraceful conduct, habitual use of intoxicants to excess, drug addiction or sexual perversion” will get you investigated, terminated (and ruin your life).  We post it here in remembrance of the many thousands who suffered under this ban.
