These are a couple of the original picket signs we helped gay civil rights pioneer Frank Kameny donate to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.   They were carried high by the Mattachine Society of Washington, DC and the Daughters of Bilitis in front of LBJ’s White House in 1966.  The Smithsonian displayed them alongside its Star Spangled Banner exhibit.   We think of them now as Lonnie Bunch resigns as Secretary with dignity and honor rather than continue in this atmosphere of political disgrace.
